John Dyer Painting. Walking along the Shore, St Michael's Mount. 24 x 24 inches, acrylic on canvas

John Dyer Painting. Walking along the Shore, St Michael's Mount. 24 x 24 inches, acrylic on canvas
This is a beautiful spring painting of St. Michael’s Mount. The soft yellows of the daffodils are reflected in the hazy light over the Mount. Dog walkers stand and chatter and small colourful boats cruise by. This is definitely a lazy, hazy spring day in Cornwall and once hung on the wall creates a window to St Michael's Mount all year round. Stunning.
John Dyer has a direct way of painting and this painting was created on the beach at Marazion with direct and energetic brush work and large amounts of paint. The light and energy of the beach informs the painting and as people, dogs and boats pass by they become naturally incorporated into the painting.
